Since everyone wants to know what movies are good for couple to watch, Jordon and I are going to review movies together after we've seen him. A "He says, She says" point of view.What Happens in Vegas
Synopsis: Set in Sin City, story revolves around two people who discover they've gotten married following a night of debauchery, with one of them winning a huge jackpot after playing the other's quarter. Unhappy pair try to undermine each other and get their hands on the money -- falling in love along the way.Kayla's View: Good movie with sentimental values. There's quite a few giggles hidden in the movie. Not very philosophical, but also a good comedy. Leans more towards a "Chick flick" than a comedy, though.
Jordon's View: Hilarious movie. And it's cute too. A great romantic comedy very fitting for a date. I wouldn't call it a chick flick... but whatever. It's funny.
Good Movie for Couples? Yes, it's cute and madeus smile and cuddle and laugh.
The Happening
Synopsis: In the northeastern U.S., people suddenly begin committing suicide en masse. First they become disoriented, then stop moving, and finally find the quickest way to kill themselves. The pandemic begins in parks, and quickly spreads to nearby population centers.Kayla's View: Great idea for a movie. However, the characters were HORRIBLY cast and the script was written so chopped that it barely made sense. Character development was non-existant. Great idea for a movie, however. If you just want to want people commit suicide, it's not a bad movie.
Jordon's View:M. Night Shamalan... isn't what he use to be. It was a horrible movie. But at the same time it was an amazing movie. It's just so rememberable and strange and horrible at times it just sticks in your mind. I always expect people to randomy stop walking and go kill themselves if I see the wind blowing. I DID like it and would go see it again.
Good Movie for Couples? If you both want to see it? Sure... I guess...
Wall-E
Synopsis: In the distant future, a small waste collecting robot inadvertently embarks on a space journey that will ultimately decide the fate of mankind.Kayla's View: It was completely adorable. While it looks like a children's movie, it reflects just as strongly on adults. Children will get a kick out of it because of the cute robots, but the message it brings out is so obviously meant for adults. It's adorable, and I loved it.
Jordon's View: It was cute and awesome and post-apocalyptic. I love post-apocalyptic things. Also Wall-e and Eva are awesome and cute. It's basically the combination of Sci-Fi awesomeness with cute animation. Basically if you don't enjoy this movie you have no soul and should just go kill yourself. =p It's amazing and epic. go see it.
Good Movie for Couples? Yes, if you some how dislike Wall-e then you have no good inside you and hate everything like cute baby kittens. And how could you hate a baby kitten? Or Wall-e?
Wanted
Synopsis:A frustrated office worker learns that he is the son of a professional assassin, and that he shares his father's superhuman killing abilities.Kayla's View: I can't say I was overly fond of it. As Jordon knows, I was complaining about the movie the entire time. It's not a *bad* movie, per say, but if you expected a plot, you'll be screwed. If you can get around the fact that they completely ignore laws of physics (Jumping across hundreds of feet, shooting obstructions out of gun barrels without combustion, curving bullets around objects), it has good action sequences. However, nothing in Hell could save the plot which included the "Loom of Fate" in which the "Loom" told them who to assasinate.
Jordon's View: Stuff went boom. I wish I could make cars randomly flip sideways and curve bullets. Infact I'd just be happy to jump through a window with a gun and make a bunch of people go boom. Or kiss Angelina Jolie? The plot... what plot? WE KILL WHOEVER THE MAGICAL YARN OF DEATHINESS TELLS US TO! haha! Oh noes! You were lying to us! THE LOOM OF FATE IS A LIE!
Good Movie for Couples? You can take your boyfriend to it if he likes explosions to make him happy? It's not romantic though. Don't expect awesome sex afterwards.
Harold & Kumar: Escape from Guantanamo Bay
Synopsis: Follows the cross-country adventures of the pot-smoking duo as they try to outrun authorities who suspect them of being terrorists when they try to sneak a bong on board their flight to Amsterdam.Kayla's View: Not as good as the first one comedy-wise, but I like this one's storyline better. As usual, stoner humor and a couple really funny parts, but most of the movie was more focused on plot than humor. Definitely good for a laugh, but more interesting for the political views it presents - wrapped up in comedy.

Stargate: Continuum
Synopsis: Ba'al travels back in time and prevents the Stargate program from being started. SG-1 must somehow restore history.Kayla's View: Definitely a nerd movie. However, I've never seen any of the Stargate series, and this movie wasn't all *that* bad to watch. It had a plot that I could understand without knowing the rest of the Stargate series, while apparently had details that Jordon understood that went completely over my head. Not the most interesting movie in the world to watch, but it wasn't that bad.
